Sona Abbasova

Sona Abbasova is a corporate and business communications leader with nearly 30 years of experience across multiple geographies. As Director of Corporate Communications at Azercell, Azerbaijan’s leading telecom operator, she shapes narratives at the intersection of brand, business, and society, positioning the company as a digital enabler and responsible corporate citizen.

Previously, she led Corporate Communications at PASHA Bank and worked with HSBC and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Baku and London.

Sona holds an Executive Master’s degree in Corporate and Business Communications from IE Business School in Spain.
