Sanan Shafizada

Sənan Şəfizadə is an Azerbaijani sports presenter, journalist, and Master of Ceremonies with over 20 years of experience in media and international event hosting. He holds a PhD in Art History, combining academic expertise with a strong background in broadcasting and communication.

Since 2003, he has been actively working at ATV, where he serves as a Sports Presenter and Editor, contributing to the development of sports journalism in Azerbaijan. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various local and international media platforms and built a strong reputation in the industry.

Sənan has hosted more than 30 major international sporting events, including world and European championships across football, judo, boxing, gymnastics, and MMA. He has also played key roles in global tournaments such as the Chess World Cup and the Chess Olympiad, leading media and PR operations.

A multiple-time “Sports Journalist of the Year” award winner, he has also been recognized as “Best Sports Presenter” and received the “Professional Host of the Year” award by the World Series of Boxing. He is also the official stadium announcer for Qarabağ FK during European competitions.

Beyond broadcasting, he is the author of the book “No. 11 Isgandar Javadov”, reflecting his deep engagement with sports storytelling and history.
