Our insight was rooted in the linguistic richness of the Azerbaijani language and the multi-layered meanings of the word "gül" (rose/flower/laugh). In our language, this word represents a sincere smile, an aesthetic plant, and one of the most common and beloved types of micro-businesses in the country: flower shops. Most importantly, the colloquial expression "gül kimi" (like a flower) is used to describe something that works perfectly, smoothly, and without any hurdles. For a micro-entrepreneur, the ultimate motivation is for their business to run "gül kimi," which naturally results in them "gülmək" (smiling/laughing). By turning this linguistic and logical intersection into our focal point, we positioned AccessBank's financial support not just as a set of numbers, but as the key catalyst that makes a business bloom and fundamentally transforms an entrepreneur's mood.
The core of our idea was to visualize the semantic power of the word "gül" through a sincere story and bring it to life with a public figure beloved by the nation. We aimed to present AccessBank's support for micro-businesses not as a standard commercial, but as an entertaining and "expressive" roadmap of an entrepreneur's success. To achieve this, we cast Honored Artist Rafael Isgandarov—renowned for his humor and masterful use of wordplay in his concert titles—in the lead role. The idea centered on a florist character, played by Rafael, who shares his business history using witty puns and creative wordplay around the word "gül." To align with the spirit of the idea, we scheduled the campaign launch for April 1st – International Laughter Day. Throughout the script, the seamless progress of the business was synthesized with the bank's role, culminating in the phrase "Gül kimi bankım var", which became a memorable signature true to Rafael Isgandarov's creative style.
In the execution phase, we applied a comprehensive approach to ensure the idea was perfectly complemented both visually and through communication. First, to make the story more convincing and timeless, we filmed in two different locations: one modern flower boutique and one with a classic, nostalgic atmosphere. To enhance the emotional depth of the spot, we channeled the persona of cinema legend Charlie Chaplin, drawing a visual parallel to his unforgettable relationship with the flower girl in "City Lights," thus blending the theme of flowers with classic art. To maximize the campaign's reach, we utilized "collab" posts on both the bank's official social media accounts and Rafael Isgandarov's personal profile. We developed specialized versions for TV, formulated dynamic radio spots, and decorated strategic points across the city with OOH (Out-of-Home) advertisements. To maintain the bond with the audience and ensure the campaign's longevity, we continued the engagement in the following weeks with a series of supporting Reels.
Despite being recently launched, the "Gül kimi" creative delivered outstanding results across digital platforms, rapidly accumulating over 1.6M total views. The campaign generated 3,700+ total interactions, demonstrating strong audience resonance and creating highly positive impressions among viewers. These metrics reflect the high effectiveness of the content in driving immediate visibility and fostering meaningful engagement in a short period. Ultimately, the project succeeded in leaving a lasting and positive mark on the target audience across all digital channels, both through its visual impact and the upbeat atmosphere it created.
