With nearly a decade of education and professional experience in marketing, he has built a career shaped by strategic thinking, creativity, and a strong understanding of digital communication. His interest in marketing began during his undergraduate studies in Business Administration, where he was introduced to various economics-focused disciplines. Although naturally inclined toward technical subjects, he soon realized the importance of nurturing his creative side within a real business environment, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in marketing.
His first professional experience began during his fourth year at university at Mars Academy, where he worked as a Marketing Assistant. During this period, he gained hands-on experience in project management, client relations, and sales while also completing Digital Marketing training at Code Academy. After successfully completing the program, he obtained the globally recognized Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) certification.
He later joined Bakcell, one of Azerbaijan’s leading telecommunications companies, as a Marketing Intern. During his time there, he worked as a project manager on the renewal of the “Ulduzum” mobile application, overseeing the entire process from writing the technical specifications to the product’s launch. In parallel, he managed all digital activities related to the “Ulduzum” loyalty program and collaborated with both internal teams and external vendors on multiple projects.
While continuing his internship, he received an offer from the global advertising agency Havas Azerbaijan for the role of Digital Marketing Specialist. Within just three months, he was promoted to Digital Marketing Manager. During his time at Havas, he worked with both local and global brands including Reckitt Benckiser, Lactalis, Nar, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Danone, and Code Academy.
One of the most notable projects of his career was contributing as Digital Project Manager to the 360-degree communication campaign for the launch of the TamKart product. During this period, he also earned his MBA degree in Marketing from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
After gaining approximately two and a half years of agency experience, he continued his career as Marketing Manager at Code Academy. During his tenure, he led initiatives including the renewal of brand guidelines and the company’s website, as well as marketing communication for corporate solutions. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth — tripling its performance in 2021 compared to 2019, and achieving a 56% increase in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year.
Alongside his managerial role, he also worked as a Digital Marketing Instructor at the academy, mentoring more than 100 students. Many of his former students are now working at leading organizations such as Pasha Bank, Kapital Bank, and TABIA. He has also delivered corporate digital marketing training sessions for marketing teams at companies including NaxTel, Nakhchivan Holding, and Kapital Bank.
For the past three and a half years, he has been working again at Havas Azerbaijan, where he initially joined as Commercial Director and has been serving as Managing Director for the past six months. In this role, he leads a team of nearly 40 professionals and oversees major strategic marketing and communication projects. During this time, he has directly led projects for major local and global brands including Pasha Holding, Visa, Kapital Bank, Samsung, AZAL, Hyundai, Red Bull, KFC, Trendyol, and Starbucks.
