Biography

Nurana Teymurova is a senior business and marketing executive specializing in business transformation, product innovation and growth strategy across insurance, telecommunications, and the entertainment and gaming industry. With over 15 years of leadership experience in regulated and technology-driven sectors, she is recognized for driving large-scale business transformation, building customer-centric products, and scaling digital channels with measurable commercial impact.

Throughout her career, Nurana has held strategic roles across leading institutions in Azerbaijan. She began her professional journey at the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), gaining early exposure to executive operations, governance and stakeholder management within a highly structured public-sector environment. She later joined Azercell Telecom, where she worked across Value-Added Services and Marketing functions, contributing to new technology product development, innovation initiatives, and go-to-market strategies.

Nurana spent more than a decade at PASHA Insurance, where she held multiple executive leadership roles, including Head of Digital & Retail Business Block, Motor & Property Tribe Leader, Head of Agile Transformation Office and Head of Marketing & PR. She played a central role in the company’s enterprise-wide agile transformation and led major strategic initiatives spanning digital growth, product management, customer experience and organizational agility. Among her notable achievements, she launched Azerbaijan’s first subscription-based digital insurance product, scaled digital platforms and channels, drove significant improvements in profitability and customer retention, and helped embed product-led and data-driven operating models across the organization.

She currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer at Azerlotereya, operating within the entertainment and gaming industry, where she leads brand strategy, product marketing, product management, marketing and corporate communications, public relates and CSR, and trade marketing. Her work centers on modernizing player experiences, designing behavioral and engagement ecosystems, and aligning brand, product, and commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth.

Nurana holds an MSc in Management from the University of Bristol and earned both her MA and BA degrees in Regional Studies from Baku State University. She has completed numerous leadership, innovation, agile, strategy, and management development programs delivered by leading international institutions and global organizations, and has actively participated as a speaker and moderator at major industry conferences and forums.

Her professional strengths sit at the intersection of strategy, product, marketing, and innovation, combining structured business thinking with creativity, strong communication, and execution excellence.
